Who will suit this programme:
If you have basic computing skills, but no formal computing qualifications, and you want to learn more skills while completing the majority of your studies in your own time, this programme is for you! While you're on the programme, we'll provide you with a loan computer (with all necessary software installed), access to the internet, and access to our free phone help desk.
What you will study:
* Computer hardware and software
* Email and local area networks
* Word Processing and schematic diagrams (Microsoft Word 2016)
* Spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel 2016)
* Databases (Microsoft Access 2016)
* Desktop presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint 2016)
* Adobe CS5 - Indesign, Photoshop and Dreamweaver
* Investigating the use of technology in an organization
Entry Criteria for programme:
* Be at least 16 years old
* Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
* Complete and pass a pre-entry test to show that you have basic computing skills.
Classes are going to start in March at 1/2A William Pickering Drive, Albany.
Need only to attend one day per week class (3 hrs session) . Class time is on Tuesday 6pm to 9pm or Thursday 9.30am to 12.30pm.
