Here is some information for our Hawkes Bay tournaments:<?xml:namespace prefix = o />
We have two tournament – one at the Hasting Golf Club and one at the Napier Golf Club. Members can enter for an entry fee of $300 for each tournament.
First prize for each tournament is $5,000 and we will be playing the top 30%, breakdown to be advised later.
For the Hasting Tournament there is most pars for the tournament $1,000
Then overall there is a Hawkes Bay Challenge Cup for the best score over 4 rounds.
Amateurs can play providing they have a good handicap for a $150 entry fee – if the leading amateur gets in the top 30% he will receive a winners medal (they do not have to be members of the tour)

Conditions of Competition 2016
KiwiPro Tour is established with a view to create a fair, open and honest professional golf tour, to be run on behalf of established and aspiring Tournament Professionals in New Zealand, to further their tournament golf experience.
Our stated Aim is to hold 20 tournaments per year thus giving every professional a chance to hone their skills all year round.
EligibilityThe annual membership fee to join the KiwiPro Golf Tour which is open to all New Zealand Professional Golf Association members, elite amateurs (Handicap of 3 or less) and those golfers wanting to turn professional on our tour is $300.00. The tournament entry fee is $300.00 per tournament.
They will be no qualifying tournament and on payment of the membership fee of $300 the participant will be awarded his/her professional golf card, irrespective of previous status of professional or amateur.
Entries Entry Form to be completed and returned to KiwiPro Golf Tour with payment of $300.00 by method and due date (usually 2 days before the competition) as requested by KiwiPro Golf Tour.
KiwiPro Golf Tour reserve the right to refuse any entry without being required to give a reason for so refusing.

FormatTournaments will generally be on Mondays and Tuesdays – 18 holes stroke play each day however, days may change subject to availability of courses.
KiwiPro Golf Tour reserve the right to change the format of the Tournament or have an 18 holes competition due to inclement weather.
KiwiPro Golf Tour, not the Club committee will determine the daily Tee and Hole locations.
Prizes Prize money is dependent on the number of players participating and the degree of sponsorship, but there will be a guaranteed minimum NZ$3,000.00 for first place and pay-outs to the top 30% of the field.
It is KiwiPro Golf Tour’s aim to increase this prize pool and also to extend the payment out to 50% of the field, but this will be based on the number of participating players, television and sponsorship.
Decision of Ties In the event of a tie to win the Tournament, a play-off will be held and KiwiPro Golf Tour in most cases will use the 18th hole recurring, but the Tournament Director on the day will make a decision.
Clubs The player’s clubs must conform to the Groove and Punch Mark specifications in the Rules of Golf that are effective Jan. 1, 2010.
Driving Club Any driver the player carries must have a club head, identified by model and loft that is named on the current List of Conforming Driver Heads issued by the R&A Rules Limited. Penalty for Breach of Condition-Carrying but not making a stroke with club, or clubs in Breach of Rule 4-1 or 4-2 Stroke Play, two strokes for each hole at which any breach occurred; maximum penalty per round four strokes. Penalty for making a stroke with a club in breach of Rule 4-1 or 4-2; Disqualification.
Golf Ball The ball the player plays must be must be named on the current List of Conforming Golf Balls issued by the R&A. Rule 5-1 Note. Penalty for breach of Condition: Disqualification. Appendix 1C-1b Page 138
RegistrationAs per the instructions from KiwiPro Golf Tour. Players to report to the starter 10 minutes prior to their tee time.
General Rules of Play
The Rules of Play shall be the Rules of Golf as approved by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews (R&R), together with the Local Rules of the Host Club. Tournament Rules if issued, can overrule a Club’s Rules but players should be given a written copy.
Score Cards:Scorecards are to be returned immediately upon the completion of play to the scorer’s area. A player is deemed to have returned their card when they have completely left the scoring area with both feet (unless such action is authorised by the committee)
Caddies:In certain circumstances the use of caddies may be restricted. Refer R&R Rules Appendix 1- C2 (Note to Rule 6-4) Page 139.
Motorised Vehicles:Players must walk at all times during a stipulated round unless permitted to ride by the Rules Committee.
Players are permitted to use non-motorised golf trundlers
Pace of Play:New Zealand Golf Policy will be implemented. Appendix 1C-3 (Note 2 to Rule 6-7) NZ Golf Club Manual Page 3-24.
Drugs Policy:All competitors are subject to drug testing for banned substances as laid down by New Zealand Golf Anti-Doping policy. Any competitor infringing this policy or refusing to take a test may be disqualified.
Code of Conduct: All competitors are responsible for conducting themselves to the highest standard expected at all Tournaments.
Practice: Before and between rounds of a stroke play Tournament. Rule 7-1b refers.
Embedded Ball: Through the green, a ball that is embedded in its own pitch-mark in the ground may be lifted, without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to where it lay but not nearer the hole. The ball when dropped must first strike a part of the course through the green.
Exceptions:
1. A player may not take relief under this Local Rule if the ball is embedded in sand in an area that is not closely mown.
2. A player may not take relief under this Local Rule if interference by anything other than the condition covered by this Local Rule makes the stroke clearly impracticable.

Distance Measuring Devices:For all play in KiwiPro Golf Tour events a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge other conditions that might affect his play (e.g. gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional function is actually used.
Tournament Committee:should consist of the Tournament Director, a Rules Official, another representative from KiwiPro Golf Tour and/or another person appointed by them, if necessary.
Only the Tournament Committee as a whole has the authority to waive or modify a penalty of disqualification under Rule 33-7. A referee or individual member of the Committee may not take such action, but the final decision can rest with the Tournament Director. Refer to Rule 33-7; Decision 33-7/1
Disputes: The tournament committee shall decide all disputes, shall be responsible for arrangements and may, if necessary, alter starting times or postpone play. The committee’s decision shall be final in all cases.
Evacuation and Suspension of Play:In the event of play being suspended due to a dangerous situation or the Course becoming unplayable, players are asked to make their way to the club house without delay.
Suspension Signals.
Dangerous Situation – One (1) prolonged horn blast
Non Dangerous Situation – Three (3) short horn blasts
Resumption of Pay – Two (2) short horn blasts
Tournament Rules: The starter will announce any necessary rules that need to apply on that particular day or tournament.
Elite Amateurs (Handicap of 3 or less) may participate on the tour for an entry fee of $150 per tournament but will not be eligible for the cash prizes, however if an amateur finishes in the top 30% of the field and they are the top amateur for the tournament they will receive the KiwiPro tournament medal. Handicaps will not come into play.
Second day tee-times will be seeded.
In the event of applications exceeding the number of places available in the field, entries will be decided by the earliest confirmed and paid entry.
