​​Who can be granted residence under the Pacific Access Category?

If you want to register for the Pacific Access Category (PAC) (Samoa), you need to make sure that you meet the criteria below before you complete the registration form.

To qualify for residence under the PAC (Samoa), you (the principal registrant) must:

• be a Samoan citizen; and

• must have been born in Samoa or born overseas to a Samoan citizen who was born in Samoa; and

• be aged between 18 and 45 (inclusive) at the closing date of the PAC registration period; and

• be either in Samoa or lawfully in New Zealand when your application for residence is made; and

• have been advised by INZ that your registration has been drawn from the ballot; and

• have an acceptable offer of employment in New Zealand, or have a partner included in your application who has an acceptable offer of employment; and

• meet the minimum income requirement (if you have dependent children); and

• meet the minimum level of English language ability; and

• meet health and character requirements (if you partner and dependent children are included in the application they must also meet health and character requirements); and

• lodge your application for residence under the PAC within eight months from the date INZ invites you to apply for residence. Acceptable offer of employment Your job offer must be for work that is permanent and full-time. It must be a genuine job offer and for a position that is paid by salary or wages.

Your closest INZ office has more information about job offer requirements. If both you and your partner have acceptable offers of employment, only one of these employments has to be full-time. Minimum income requirement If you have dependent children included in your application for residence under the PAC, we will advise you of the dollar amount of the minimum income requirement that you have to meet. If you and your partner both have an acceptable offer of employment, your combined salaries or wages can be taken into account when INZ checks that you meet the minimum income requirement. Minimum English requirement To meet the minimum English requirement, you must satisfy an immigration officer that you can read, understand and respond to questions in English, and hold a conversation about yourself, your family, or your background.

한국인 국적자에게 뉴질랜드 영주권이라면요. 특별 쿼터는 절대 없으며 아시다시피 영어 무자게 잘하고 잡오퍼(학력 또는 경력과 연관성있어야 하며 등등의 요건을 다다다 갖춘 잡오퍼!!)를 절대적으로 잘 찾아서 기타 자격요건과 함께 신청하는 기술이민으로 대개 영주권에 도전하게 되는데요. 그래서도 지난 회계년도에 겨우 1천명 조금 넘게 영주권을 받았습니다만................

질문에 답한다....그래요. 그럼 What is your name?을 거북이 속도로 물어보면 그거 답할 한국인들은 99%까지 되지 않을까요? 어떤 질문을 어떤 속도로 어떤 자세로 물어보는가에 따라 답을 할수 있고 없고, 하기도 하고 못하기도 하고 그런거 아닌가요??

물론, 나이 차별은 역차별입니다. 기술이민은 만 56세인데 이 쿼터는 안타깝게도 45세까지입니다.

잡오퍼에서도 차별은 심합니다.

기술이민의 잡오퍼는 따지는 것도 참 많습디다.

하지만, 이 쿼터는요. 그냥 풀타임이면 되구요. 다만, 그 수입이 가족들을 부양할만큼이어야 한다고 하네요.

이 쿼터에 속하려면.....일단은요. 영어는 못해두 이들 국가에서 우리나 부모가 태어나는게 우선이겠네요 쩝.
