SH1 Road Closure Notification

The NZ Transport Agency would like to advise you that there will be a full closure of the Northern Gateway Toll Road in both directions on the evening of Tuesday 16 August while maintenance is carried out in the Johnstone's Hill tunnels.
The work will be carried out at night between the hours of 10:30pm and 5:30am. The following detours will be in place during this time:
Cars - State Highway 17 between Puhoi and the Orewa interchange Trucks - State Highway 17 between Puhoi and the Silverdale interchange
Please note that trucks must use the detour to/from Silverdale and use State Highway 17, as local bylaws prohibit the use of Grand Drive for heavy vehicles during these hours.
