Pack a picnic and bring the family out to learn about and explore Piha Stream and Lagoon.
Piha Stream has a range of fascinating native fish living in it, including glow-in-the-dark limpets. It’s also the only place around Auckland where we know lamprey live.
Join us to find out more and to explore the local stream and lagoon.
Activities include:
- guided walks and talks with expert ecologists – learn about fish and other critters in and around the stream
- water testing demonstrations
- information stalls
- experts on hand to answer questions about local wildlife, septic tanks and other issues
- tasty sausage sizzle

The event is organised by Auckland Council and supported by Eco Matters, Waitākere Ranges Local Board and the Piha Community.
