Pack a picnic and bring the family out to learn about and explore Piha Stream and Lagoon.

Piha Stream has a range of fascinating native fish living in it, including glow-in-the-dark limpets. It’s also the only place around Auckland where we know lamprey live.

Join us to find out more and to explore the local stream and lagoon.

Activities include:

• guided walks and talks with expert ecologists – learn about fish and other critters in and around the stream
• water testing demonstrations
• information stalls
• experts on hand to answer questions about local wildlife, septic tanks and other issues
• tasty sausage sizzle
