Tens of thousands of SuperGold cardholders have responded positively and quickly to a campaign designed to help them make the switch to AT HOP cards, says Auckland Transport.
An estimated 90,000 Supergold cardholders use public transport in Auckland, and so far close to 71,428 of these now have AT HOP cards with SuperGold concessions loaded. Another 14,477 have begun the process.
SuperGold cardholders need to buy an AT HOP card and load a SuperGold concession to enjoy the SuperGold public transport concession in Auckland from 1 July.
The AT HOP card costs $10 and a $5 credit must be loaded onto the card at the same time – for a total one-off cost of $15. The $10 card cost is non-refundable.
Auckland Transport continues to use its mobile registration unit to help SuperGold cardholders make the switch to AT HOP.
Seniors wanting to take advantage of the mobile unit should purchase their AT HOP card and register it ahead of time to minimise waiting time at the mobile unit.
The mobile unit will visit various locations across Auckland during the rest of June and into July.
Further details about the mobile unit are available through Grey Power, Age Concern and at Auckland Transport, or by calling 0800 AT GOLD (0800 284 653).
Those seniors who do not yet have an AT HOP card should visitAuckland Transport for more information or call 0800 AT GOLD (0800 28 4653) to request an information pack.
