Missing Elderly Male
Auckland City Police have concerns for the safety of a 77 year old male, missing from a rest home in Woodward road, Mt Albert.
Staff at the rest home last saw him at 3pm on Tuesday afternoon.
Michael Wackrow has been known to walk to the Point Chevalier RSA on a Tuesday evening however staff at the RSA did not see him there last night.
Police Search and Rescue staff have been searching the area throughout the night without success.
Mr Wackrow is described as a caucasian approx 5ft 6 tall and walks with a slight hunch. He may possibly be wearing grey track pants, a black jacket, brown shoes and a black bennie.
Inspector Tony Wakelin is asking for help from the public to keep an eye out for Mr Wackrow in the Mt Albert , Pt Chevalier area. "He may be disorientated and confused and we are concerned that he has been missing all night" he said . If a member of the public has seen someone fitting Mr wackrow's description we would ask that they contact Police with that information.
