The Botanical Art Society of New Zealand is calling for submissions for the Botanical Art Worldwide exhibition.

This inaugural worldwide event will take place in at least 14 countries simultaneously. It will bring together artists, institutions and the public to highlight the role contemporary botanical artists play in bringing attention to the need of safeguarding our planet’s botanical diversity.

The event is organised by the American Society of Botanical Artists and supported by the Friends of Auckland Botanic Gardens.

The New Zealand exhibition will be called ‘Ngāi Tipu Taketake – Indigenous Flora'. It will take place from March 30 - July 1 2018 at the Auckland Botanic Gardens, and may also travel to other New Zealand cities.

Artists interested in submitting works are invited to complete the online submission form.

Submissions close 5pm 16 November 2017.
