Children aged 5 to 15 now only pay 99 cents to ride buses and trains on weekends and public holidays.
To qualify for the 99 cent children’s fare, parents need to load a child concession onto the AT HOP card and it needs to be registered.
Children can make up to five bus or train trips over a four-hour period with up to 30 minutes between each trip.
For children under 5, bus and train travel is free when accompanied by a fare-paying passenger.
