Bring on the palusami, pai fala or keke 'isite. Break out the colourful ei katu, fragrant coconut oils or pareus – stallholder applications are open for the 2018 Pasifika Festival.
The festival takes place on Saturday, 24 March and Sunday, 25 March at Western Springs Park.
It is divided into 11 villages, each representing a different Pacific Island culture and with its own entertainment stage and stalls.
Applications are open for food, craft, information and commercial stalls including not-for-profit options.
Apply online, with applications closing on 12 January 2018.
Stalls applications are also still open for the 2018 Auckland Lantern Festival (until Friday, 8 December).
One of Auckland’s most popular and long-running cultural festivals, Pasifika is now in its 26th year, celebrating and showcasing Tāmaki Makaurau’s Pacific Islands whanau.
The 2018 festival will see stalls open at the earlier time of 9am on Saturday, following feedback from community representatives.
The 2018 Pasifika Festival is delivered by Auckland Tourism, Events & Economic Development (ATEED), on behalf of Auckland Council, in conjunction with the Pasifika Festival Villages Trust, which guides the event's cultural integrity and community accessibility.
